Irbesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking the action of a chemical that normally makes blood vessels tighter.

This lowers blood pressure, allowing blood to flow more smoothly to various organs and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker:

  • In case of high blood pressure, it normalizes blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels to reduce pressure on them, thus improving blood flow in the body.
  • Enhanced blood flow in the body relaxes the heart muscles by reducing the workload on the heart. It also improves the flow of oxygen in the body, thus preventing any heart-related chest pain.
