Nasal Spray for Congestion and Runny Nose 120 Sprays Naselfast Triamcinolone works by alleviating the inflammatory responses associated with asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps and corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. It inhibits the action of inflammatory cells, such as mast cells, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils.

Mechanism of action of triamcinolone

Triamcinolone is a corticosteroid that mediates anti-inflammatory actions.


Therapeutic indications for nasal spray

It is given as a nasal spray to treat nasal symptoms you may experience if you suffer from allergic rhinitis.

This medication is used for adults and children 2 years of age and older.

Nasal symptoms you may experience with allergic rhinitis include itching, sneezing, nasal congestion, and a runny or stuffy nose.

This medication may help relieve symptoms in some patients within the first day of treatment, however, for other patients, it may take 3 to 4 days to experience relief.


How to administer NASELFAST NASAL SPRAY

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Before you start using this medicine for the first time, you should read and follow the instructions on how to use it carefully. Ask your pharmacist if you are not sure

Dosages are based on your medical condition

Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.

If you take more than you should, talk to your doctor or go to hospital straight away.

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.

Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

Although the following side effects are not common to everyone, some patients may complain of:

Headache

Use for minor nosebleeds (epistastes) for more than 6 weeks

Nasal ulceration

Sore throat

Pain, burning, irritation, soreness, or dryness inside the nose

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to have a baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.

Your doctor will discuss the potential risks and benefits of using this medication during pregnancy and breast-feeding


Non-pharmaceutical treatments and tips for reducing allergies

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to loosen mucus.

Inhale steam: Take a hot bath, or boil water and pour it into a bowl, point the bowl (staying at least 1 foot away), place a towel on the back of your head to form a tent, and inhale.

Use a humidifier, for example, Vicks Air Humidifier to loosen mucus

Avoid breathing irritants such as dust, perfumes or pollutants. Wear a face mask to reduce exposure to allergens

Smoke sometimes irritates the airways and causes inflammation that turns into bronchitis. Quitting smoking will help you get rid of your cough.

Lozenges such as Strepsils soothe a sore throat
