The medication contains lidocaine, a topical pain reliever (topical analgesic) that relieves pain in your skin.

They were prescribed the medication to treat a painful condition called postherpetic neuralgia. This disease is characterized by burning, shooting, or stabbing pain in the affected areas of the skin.

dose

Always use this medication exactly as your doctor has told you to. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is 1 to 3 patches the size of the painful skin area. The medicine can be cut into smaller pieces to better cover the affected area. You should not use more than three patches at the same time.

Patches should be removed after 12 hours, so you will have a 12-hour break without the patch. You can use the lotion either during the day or at night.

You will usually feel some pain relief the first day after using the patch, but it may take 2 to 4 weeks for the pain reliever to become fully effective. Talk to your doctor if you still have pain afterward, as the benefits of treatment must be weighed against the potential risks.

Your doctor will check how well the preparation is working at regular intervals.

Once you know, remove the patch immediately. Another bandage can be applied after 12 hours.

If you use more patches than you should

If you use more patches than you should, or if you leave them on for too long, the risk of side effects increases.

If you forget to use it

If you forget to put on a new patch after going 12 hours without a patch, you should wear a new one as soon as you notice this.

If you have any further questions about using this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
