Hi-Fresh Hydrating Eye Drops Long Lasting Gel 20 Doses Sodium hyaluronate drops, also known as artificial tears, are used to relieve dry eyes and pain. They moisturize, soothe and lubricate the surface of your eye, making it feel more comfortable.

Before using sodium hyaluronate

To make sure this is the right treatment for you, before you start using eye drops it is important that your doctor or pharmacist knows:

If you wear soft contact lenses.

If you have ever had an allergic reaction to a preservative in eye drops.

Get the most out of your treatment

Before you start using the eye drops, read the printed information leaflet from the manufacturer that comes with the package. It will give you more information about the use of the drops and will give you a full list of any side effects you may experience.

Use 1 drop in the dry eye (or eyes). Many people find that it is enough to use the drops three or four times a day, but you can use the drops as often as you need them if your eyes are very dry. If you have been prescribed the drops, follow the instructions given by your doctor.

Please take care that the dropper does not touch your eye, fingers, or any other surface. This could contaminate the droplets remaining in the bottle.

If you forget to use the drops at your "usual" time, don't worry, just put them in when you remember. Do not double the number of drops you use to make up for forgetting to use it.

When first put in, the eye drops may cause blurred vision. This should quickly become clear. Make sure you can see clearly again before you drive, or before you use tools or machines.

If you are using any other drops or ointments, allow about ten minutes between each one. Sodium hyaluronate drops are usually recommended last. This is so that the drops stay in contact with your eye and lubricate it for as long as possible.

Do not wear soft contact lenses while you are using the drops unless your doctor or pharmacist advises you otherwise. This is because there is a preservative in bottles of eye drops that can affect soft contact lenses. There is no preservative in the single-use units.

If your symptoms do not improve within a few days, see your doctor for advice.
