Stomahesive® paste (seal) consists of Stomahesive hydrocolloid for base plates and adhesive tape for ConvaTec ostomy devices. The biggest advantage of the paste is its protective properties. That is why they are often used - both in prevention and in the prevention of skin complications. The paste serves, among other things, to fill scars and irregularities on the skin around the stoma. It is also used to bridge the space between the edge of the plate and the stoma, which is an additional protection against leakage of bowel contents or urine.
