What is macrogol/sodium chloride/sodium bicarbonate/potassium chloride and what is it used for:
This medication consists of macrogol, a laxative, and electrolytes (sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, and potassium chloride). It is used to treat adult patients, teenagers, and older adults with constipation, including if you have been constipated for a long period of time or for fecal impaction (a severe bowel condition in which a dry, hard mass of stool becomes stuck in the colon or rectum).
Do not take macrogol/sodium chloride/sodium bicarbonate/potassium chloride
• If you are allergic to macrogol, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride, or any of the ingredients of this medication. Tell your doctor about your allergy and signs.
• If you have a blockage in your intestines.
• If you have a rupture in the intestinal wall.
• If you have severe inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, or toxic megacolon).
Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years of age.
