Otrivin 0.1% fixed-dose nasal spray contains the active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride, which relieves nasal congestion by reducing inflammation of the mucous membranes. It also helps clean the sinuses and expel mucus from them, relieving painful pressure on them.
Otrivin 0.1% metered dose nasal spray should be used as follows: one spray in both nostrils up to 3 times daily.
Detailed instructions:
1. Clean your nose.
2. Lean forward slightly and insert the tip of the bottle into the nostril.
3. Press the sprayer and breathe slowly through your nose at the same time.
4. Repeat with the other hole.
If cold symptoms persist or worsen, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist. To avoid the spread of infection, it is recommended that the spray be used only by one person.
Indications
Otrivin 0.1% limited dose nasal spray is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and above, and is used to treat the symptoms of nasal congestion.
Precautions
It is recommended not to use Otrivin 0.1% metered dose nasal spray for more than 7 consecutive days. It is not permissible to use it during pregnancy and breastfeeding except according to the doctor’s instructions.
You should also consult a doctor before using the spray if you have any of the following diseases:

. diabetic
. A benign adrenal gland tumor that results in high levels of adrenaline and noradrenaline (pheochromocytoma)

If you are being treated with certain antidepressants such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors, you should also consult your doctor.
Do not use the product in the following cases:
. Children under 12 years old.
. If you are allergic to xylometazoline or to any of the other ingredients of this medication.
. If you have recently had nose surgery.
. If you have glaucoma.
. If you have a disease that causes erosion of the lining of the nose (atrophic rhinitis).
. If you have inflammatory dry rhinitis.
