Acular LS Allergan LS (ketorolac tromethamine ophthalmic solution) 0.4% is a member of the pyrrolopyrol group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for ophthalmic use. It is used to reduce eye pain and burning/stinging after corneal refractive surgery.

Mechanism of action: Ketorolac tromethamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which, when administered systemically, has demonstrated analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity. Its mechanism of action is thought to be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin biosynthesis. Systemic administration of ketorolac tromethamine does not cause mydriasis
Dosage: One drop four times a day in the operated eye as needed for pain and burning/stinging for up to 4 days after corneal refractive surgery.
