Zovirax Antiviral Cream 2 Grams Antiviral cream works by interfering with the work of the virus's DNA polymerase enzyme in order to prevent the replication of viral DNA, which leads to killing or stopping the growth of the virus.

How to use Zovirax Cream
- Do not use acyclovir cream in the mouth, eyes, or vagina.
- You should not mix acyclovir with anything before using it, not even water.
- Always wash your hands before and after using the cream.
Adults and children:
- Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area five times a day.
- You should space each application of acyclovir by four hours.
Suggested times are: 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm and 11pm.
- If your cold sore does not heal after 4 days, or if your genital herpes sore does not heal after 5 days, you can use the cream for another 5 days.
- If the affected area does not heal after this, stop using the cream and tell your doctor.
- Doses may be changed in some special cases, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to your doctor or go to hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.
