ICC Long Effervescent Mucolytic Expectorant 10 Tablets Acetylcysteine is used to treat airway diseases such as bronchitis (inflammation of the mucous membrane in the bronchi), emphysema, mucous acidosis (cystic fibrosis) and bronchiectasis (chronic dilatation of the airway).
Do not use Acetylcysteine 600 mg Effervescent Tablets.
If you are allergic to acetylcysteine or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
Children under 2 years old should not use this medicine.
Warnings and precautions
If you suffer from bronchial asthma you should not take this medicine.
If you suffer, or have suffered in the past, from a peptic ulcer, because Acetylcysteine 600mg Effervescent Tablets may irritate the stomach wall.
Possible side effects
If any of the following side effects occur, immediately stop using Acetylcysteine 600 mg Effervescent Tablets and contact your doctor or go to the emergency room of a nearby hospital.
Shock (severe drop in blood pressure, paleness, anxiety, weak pulse, clammy skin, decreased consciousness) due to sudden dilatation of blood vessels as a result of severe hypersensitivity to certain components (anaphylactic shock).
Sudden accumulation of fluid in the skin and mucous membranes, breathing difficulties and/or itching and rash.
Other medicines and acetylcysteine 600 mg effervescent tablets.
If you are using other medicines, do not dissolve them with Acetylcysteine 600mg Effervescent Tablets.
If you need to use medicines to control or prevent infection (antibiotics), it is recommended that you take these medicines 2 hours before or after acetylcysteine 600 mg effervescent tablets.
Cough suppressants should not be used at the same time as acetylcysteine 600mg effervescent tablets, as you must be able to cough up diluted phlegm.
How to use Acetylcysteine 600 mg Effervescent Tablets
1 effervescent tablet once daily.
Dissolve the effervescent tablet in half a cup of water. Drink the solution immediately.
How to store acetylcysteine 600 mg effervescent tablets
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Store in the original packaging to protect from moisture.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package after “do not use after” or “exp”. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
After first opening, the product can be used for a maximum of 10 days in a tube containing 10 effervescent tablets or 20 days in a tube containing 20 effervescent tablets.
Do not dispose of any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
