Banatrol Plus is a specialized nutritional unit for the nutritional treatment of diarrhea. It has a unique blend of dried banana chips rich in pectin, potassium and pimono prebiotics, in a reconstructing powder form.
A formula that naturally controls the length and severity of diarrhea, and effectively relieves diarrhea associated with Clostridium difficile infection, tube feeding, antibiotics, and oncology treatment.
Two sources of soluble fiber; Banana chips and the prebiotic Transgalactooligosaccharide, which works to strengthen the stool, not by stopping bowel movements.

· The soluble fiber in banana chips has a gel-like property that helps thicken stool consistency and a prebiotic effect that promotes fluid reabsorption in the colon to reduce watery diarrhea.

Indications:
Dietary treatment for acute or chronic diarrhea without medication, associated with: Clostridium difficile, infectious diseases, influenza, tube feeding, antibiotics or other medications, chemotherapy/radiotherapy, malabsorption and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Dosage and administration: According to individual medical and dietary recommendations.
Children: from 18 months
Oral: Half a sachet (5.3 g) 3 times a day. Dissolve it in 60 ml of water, juice, porridge, yoghurt or oatmeal.
Tube feeding: half a sachet (5.3 g) 3 times daily. Dilute in 60 ml of water until dissolved. Inject slowly with the syringe into the feeding tube. Rinse the probe with 30 ml of water before and after administration.

Oral: Mix 1 sachet (10.75 g) in 120 ml of water, juice, porridge, yoghurt or oatmeal. Consume 3 times a day.
Tube feeding: 1 sachet (10.75 g) 3 times daily. Dilute in 120 ml of water until dissolved. Inject slowly with the syringe into the feeding tube. Rinse the probe with 30 ml of water before and after administration.
Note: A 14Fr or larger feeding tube is recommended to avoid clogging. Dosage may vary depending on the duration and severity of diarrhea.
Precautions:
· Do not use as the sole power source.
· Do not mix with enteral formula.
· Not for intravenous use.
· Use under the supervision of a doctor or nutritionist.
· It should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
