It's incredibly pigmented in true color, but the coverage is more buildable than on top of it. I still recommend using a lighter hand when applying initially so that you can adjust the intensity more easily. The texture is smooth, finely milled and not powdery. When I applied the Toile to the skin, it blended easily at first, but tends to hold in place once it has been clipped a little. The blush wore for nine and a half hours without fading, so it lived up to its long-standing claim. I wouldn't call this too much a stain product, as it removes easily with regular makeup remover without the need for additional elbow grease.
