**Travocort – The Dual-Action Cream: Antifungal + Anti-Inflammatory in One Formula**
Severe, inflammatory fungal skin infections require more than a standalone antifungal. Travocort by Bayer combines two active ingredients in each gram: Isoconazole Nitrate to eliminate the fungal infection, and Diflucortolone Valerate (a corticosteroid) for rapid control of intense inflammation, redness, and itching — delivering dual-action relief from the very first application.
**Active Ingredients:**
- Isoconazole Nitrate 10mg/g — broad-spectrum antifungal agent (azole class).
- Diflucortolone Valerate 1mg/g — potent topical corticosteroid for anti-inflammatory action.
**Medical Indications:**
- Fungal skin infections (Tinea) of hairless and hairy skin: hands, interdigital toe spaces, inguinal and genital regions.
- Initial or intermediate treatment of fungal skin diseases accompanied by severe inflammatory or eczematous skin conditions.
- Cases where antifungal monotherapy failed to adequately control inflammatory symptoms.
**Why Travocort Works When Others Don't:**
- **Immediate Itch & Inflammation Relief:** The corticosteroid component provides rapid relief of burning, redness, and severe itching from the first dose.
- **Complete Fungal Eradication:** Isoconazole eliminates the underlying fungal cause comprehensively.
- **Phase-1 Treatment Design:** Ideal for the acute initial phase of treatment before stepping down to an antifungal-only preparation.
**How to Use:**
- Clean and thoroughly dry the affected area.
- Apply a small amount of cream twice daily to the affected skin and gently massage in.
- Continue as directed by your physician.
- Once inflammation subsides, transition to an Isoconazole-only cream (without corticosteroid) to complete treatment.
- Do not use for extended periods in skin folds (armpits, groin) without medical supervision.
**Contraindications:**
- Allergy to Isoconazole, Diflucortolone, or any ingredient of this cream.
- Tuberculous or syphilitic processes in the treatment area.
- Viral diseases (herpes simplex, varicella/chickenpox) in the treatment area.
- Rosacea or perioral dermatitis.
- Postvaccination skin reactions at injection site.
**Warnings & Precautions:**
- Prolonged or extensive use of topical corticosteroids may cause skin thinning or glaucoma — use only as directed and for the shortest necessary duration.
- Change personal clothing (towels, socks, underwear — preferably cotton) daily to prevent reinfection.
- Store below 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. 20g tube.
