Tubracin eye drops:
Tobramycin Eye Drops 10 ml Tobramycin Eye Drops Solution 0.3% is an antibiotic that has broad activity against various types of Gram-negative bacteria, and some Staphylococcus strains such as Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Penicillin-resistant strains include Streptococcus, including Beta Streptococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and thus It is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye.
Uses:
- Tobracin eye drops are used for eye infections such as conjunctivitis.
- Inflammation of the cornea and the surrounding infected parts, caused by rapidly acting bacteria.
- It can be used as a condom after surgery.
Contraindications :
It is prohibited to use Tobracin eye drops without consulting a specialist doctor in the following cases:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the components.
- It is not used in cases of viral infections or fungal infections in the eye. It is used in eye infections caused by bacteria only.
- It is not used for treatment with other topical antibacterials.
There is no contraindication to using a drop of Tobracin for infants and children. The dosage is as follows:
- One or two drops are placed on the affected eye four times a day.
- The specialist may increase the dose to one or two drops in the affected eye 6 to 8 times a day for the first two days of treatment and then reduce the dose to 4 times a day for the rest of the treatment period.
There is no contraindication or harm to using Tubracin drops during pregnancy. However, it is best to do this only when necessary and under the supervision of a specialist doctor (Category B).
There are not enough studies on the possibility of using this drop during breastfeeding and the extent of its effect on infants is unknown.
