- First-degree burns are burns that affect only the top layer of the skin, are mild in origin and usually heal quickly (such as a sunburn).
- Second-degree burns are superficial and deeper burns that may not require skin grafting (removal of skin from one area to the affected area) if treated properly with this medicine.
- Third-degree burns (burns affecting the deeper layers of the skin sometimes reaching tendons, bones and muscles), to reduce the painful area of skin and prepare it for debridement and non-surgical grafting.
- To reduce pain in the donor area (the area of skin from which a shave is taken from your skin for grafting and use in the affected skin area) and to control the risk of infection at this site, which promotes skin recovery.
- Surgical wounds including obstetric wounds (caused by childbirth and related operations).
How to use Sumo Cream
- Apply a thin layer of the product to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily if the area is not covered, and twice daily
- Dosages may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital right away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a forgotten dose.
