Moisturizing and sterile eye drops:
Azarqa Eye Drops (Brinzolamide/Timolol) 5 ml This eye drop is used to treat high eye pressure, also called glaucoma or ocular hypertension, in adult patients over 18 years of age whose high eye pressure cannot be controlled effectively. With only one medication.
Do not use brinzolamide/timolol eye drops:
Do not use brexpiprazole in case of hypersensitivity to brinzolamide/timolol or any of the components of the preparation.
Warnings and precautions:
• Coronary heart disease (symptoms can include chest pain, tightness, shortness of breath, or choking), heart failure, and low blood pressure
• Heart rate disturbances such as slow heartbeat
• Breathing problems, asthma, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
• Poor circulation (such as Raynaud's disease or Raynaud's syndrome)
• Diabetes, as timolol may mask the signs and symptoms of low blood sugar
• Hyperthyroidism, as timolol may mask the signs and symptoms of thyroid disease
• Muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis)
• Tell your doctor before the procedure that you are using it because timolol may change the effects of some medicines used during anesthesia
• If you have a history of atopy (a tendency to develop an allergic reaction) and severe allergic reactions, you may be more sensitive to developing an allergic reaction while using it and adrenaline may not be effective in treating the allergic reaction
• If you have liver problems
• If you suffer from dry eyes or corneal problems
• If you suffer from kidney problems
Possible side effects:
Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, feel faint, or have difficulty breathing. Stop using the product if you experience hives or itching of the face or body.
Other medicines brinzolamide/timolol drops:
This eye drop can affect or be affected by other medicines you are taking, including other eye drops for glaucoma. Tell your doctor if you are taking or intend to take medicines to lower blood pressure such as parasympathomimetics and guanethidine, or other heart medicines including quinidine (used to treat heart disease and some types of malaria), amiodarone or other medicines to treat heart rhythm disorders and glycosides to treat heart failure. Also tell your doctor if you are taking or plan to take medicines to treat diabetes, to treat stomach ulcers, antifungal medicines, antivirals or antibiotics, or antidepressants such as fluoxetine and paroxetine.
If you take another carbonic anhydrase inhibitor (acetazolamide or dorzolamide), talk to your doctor.
Increased pupil size has been reported when used with adrenaline (epinephrine) sometimes together
How to use brinzolamide/timolol drops:
The recommended dose is one drop in the affected eye twice a day.
Use eye drops in both eyes only if your doctor recommends it. Take it for as long as your doctor recommends.
