The Alterna® Free 2-Piece Drainable Pouch is a mechanical coupling with added reassurance
The bag is firmly fixed to the baseplate by a mechanical coupling system. An audible “click” confirms the secure closure of the bag to the base plate.
Before the bag is locked into position, it can be rotated to the desired position, without having to remove the bag from the base plate.
The bag can be removed from the spiral adhesive baseplate, allowing the bag to be changed more often than with a sticky baseplate.
The Alterna® Free two-piece disposable pad is available with standard wear and long wear baseplate, flat or convex. The extensive range consists of a range of baseboards with pre-cut sizes or openings that can be customised, with bags of assorted sizes available in transparent or opaque colours.

Convexity, for openings that are difficult to manage
The Alterna® Free Two-Piece Disposable is available in two different levels of convexity and is designed to assist a stoma that is difficult to manage, for example a stoma that is crushed, pulled out or lodged in a skin fold. Compresses the primer skin to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the hole to appear.
