Use gentacin eye ointment

- Wash your hands well before use
- Remove the outer cover. You may find it easier to apply the ointment in front of a mirror.
- Tilt the head back and pull the lower eyelid outward to form a pocket
- Holding the tube between the thumb and middle finger of the other hand, turn the tube upside down near the eye, trying not to touch the eye with the nozzle.
- Place about half an inch of ointment into the pocket formed between the eyelid and the eye
- Blink several times
- Repeat in the other eye if you are instructed to use eye ointment in both eyes
- Place the tube cap on, and try not to touch the tip of the tube with anything, including your eyes or fingers
- Wash your hands after use

- If you take more medicine than you should, talk to your doctor or go to hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose
