Relstat Eye Drops - Epineastine Hydrochloride - 5 ml Epineastine is an anti-allergy medication that is an eye drop solution used to treat the symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, a seasonal allergic disease of the eye. The main symptoms treated by Relistat include watery eyes and eyes or eyelids that are itchy, red, or puffy.
What you need to know before using Epineastine:
Do not use Ebenastine:
• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Epinesteine or any of the other ingredients in these tablets
Warnings and precautions:
You should tell your doctor about the following:
• If you wear soft contact lenses: You should remove them before using Abenastine eye drops. After using Abenasten, wait at least 15 minutes before putting the lenses back in.
• If you have to use any other eye drops during treatment with Abenastein: Allow at least 10 minutes between applying Abenasteine and the other drops.
Other medicines and Abenastine:
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
• If you have to use any other eye drops during treatment with Abenasteine, please see above under 'Warnings and precautions' in this section.
How to use Epineastine:
Always use this medication exactly as your doctor has told you to. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Abenastein should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
Use in adults and adolescents (12 years and older)
The recommended dose is one drop in each eye requiring treatment, twice a day, eg in the morning and evening.
You should use Abenastein every day you have eye symptoms during allergy season but for no longer than 8 weeks.
Instructions for use:
You should not use the bottle if the tamper-evident seal on the neck of the bottle is broken before you first start using it. Apply your eye drops in the following way:
1. Wash your hands. Tilt your head back and look at the ceiling.
2. Gently pull the lower eyelid down until there is a small “pocket”.
3. Turn the bottle upside down and squeeze to release one drop into each eye that needs treatment.
4. Let go of the lower eyelid and close your eye for 30 seconds.
If you lose your eye drops, try again.
To avoid contamination of the solution in the bottle, do not let the dropper tip touch your eye or anything else.
Replace and tighten the cap immediately after use.
Wipe any excess liquid from your cheek with a clean tissue.
