Product Description:
- Alpha lipoic acid is a vitamin-like chemical called an antioxidant. Yeast, liver, kidneys, spinach, broccoli, and potatoes are good sources of alpha-lipoic acid. It is also made in a laboratory for use as medicine.
- Alpha lipoic acid is commonly used to treat nerve pain in people with diabetes (diabetic neuropathy).
- It is also used for high levels of cholesterol or other fats (lipids) in the blood and obesity.
How it works?
- Alpha lipoic acid appears to help prevent certain types of cell damage in the body, and it also restores levels of vitamins such as vitamin E and vitamin C. There is also evidence that alpha lipoic acid can improve the function and conduction of nerve cells in diabetes.
- Alpha lipoic acid is used in the body to break down carbohydrates and generate energy for other organs in the body.
- Alpha lipoic acid appears to act as an antioxidant, which means it may provide protection to the brain under conditions of damage or injury. Its antioxidant effects may also be beneficial in some liver diseases.
