Alfagan B Eye Drops 0.15% 5 ml Drops to reduce pressure in the eye in cases of glaucoma or high blood pressure in the eye. The medication may be used alone or in conjunction with other eye drops that reduce pressure in the eye.
Do not use Brimonidine tartrate:
• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to brimonidine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
• If you are taking monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants (you should consult your doctor if you are taking any medications to treat depression)
• If you are breastfeeding
• In newborns or children under the age of two

Warnings and precautions:
You should tell your doctor if you have any of the following:
• If you suffer from depression
• If you suffer from heart disease or heart problems
• If you experience dizziness or lightheadedness when standing (due to low blood pressure).
• If you suffer from poor mental abilities and decreased blood flow to the brain
• If you suffer from vascular disease in the extremities, or from poor blood circulation, which makes the fingers or toes numb and pale.
• If you suffer, or have suffered in the past, from liver or kidney problems.
Possible side effects:
Like all medicines, Brimonidine tartrate can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, or feel faint or have difficulty breathing. Stop using the product if you develop hives or itching of the face or body.
Other medicines and brimonidine tartrate
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking:
• Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors or any other antidepressants
• Sedatives, barbiturates, opioids or hypnotics to help you sleep or calm you down, or regular alcohol intake.
• Chlorpromazine, methylphenidate or reserpine (for mental/personality disorders)
• Pain relievers
• Medicines to treat heart disease or lower blood pressure
• Medicines that work in the same way as brimonidine, such as prazosin and isoprenaline
• If you are going to receive narcotic medications, be sure to tell your doctor that you are using these eye drops.
• Medications for any condition, even if it is unrelated to your eye condition
• Or if the dose of any of your current medicines is changed
How to use Brimonidine drops:
Always use this medication exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is one drop in each affected eye twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart. If you are using it with another eye drop medication, wait 5 to 15 minutes before applying a second eye drop.
