Levocastine Allergy Rapid Relief Eye Drops 4ml Levocabastine Ophthalmic Solution 0.05% Levocabastine is a medicine used to temporarily relieve the signs and symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, a medical condition that may occur during allergy season when exposed to pollen causing swollen eyelids and itchy and burning eyes.


Do not use levocabastine:

If you are allergic to levocabastine, or any other ingredients this medicine contains. Tell your doctor about your symptoms.


Warnings and precautions:

• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you experience an allergic reaction such as shortness of breath, rash, swelling of the face or neck.

• This medicine is intended for topical ophthalmic use only. Do not use it for other purposes.

• Be sure to tell your doctor about other eye disorders you have, such as eye inflammation or eye edema.

• Be sure to remove contact lenses before using eye drops. You can wear contact lenses again at least 15 minutes after putting in the eye drops.

• Avoid contact of the eye drop tip with the eye to prevent bacterial contamination.

• If you use more than one eye drop solution, be sure to take each at least five minutes apart.


Possible side effects of levocabastine:

Possible side effects of levocabastine include allergic reaction, headache, burning and stinging of the eyes. Other less common side effects you may experience include cough, nausea, edema, difficulty breathing, red eyes, tiredness, dry mouth, vision disturbances, pharyngitis, eye pain, dry eyes, drowsiness, lacrimation, rash and eyelid swelling.


Other medicines and levocabastine:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any medications, including eye drops. If you use more than one eye drop solution, be sure to take each at least five minutes apart to avoid precipitating the eye drops.


How to use Levocabastin:

The recommended dose is one drop instilled into the affected eye four times a day.

• Make sure to shake the eye drops well. wash your hands. Remove the packaging cap. Tilt your head back slightly and pull your lower eyelid down to make a pocket. Place the drops over your eye with the tip pointing down. Look up and away from the drop and tap the container to release the drop. Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes with your head down, making sure not to blink. Gently press the corner of your eye for about a minute.

• If you use more than one eye drop solution, be sure to take each at least five minutes apart.


How to store levocabastine:

• Keep the medicine tightly closed when not in use.

• Make sure not to use the medicine if it has changed colour.

• Store the medicine at room temperature. Do not put the medicine in the refrigerator.

• Throw away the medicine one month after opening it.

• Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and pets.

• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton.

• Keep the medicine away from light.

• Do not dispose of the medicine in wastewater or household waste.
