Inhalation solution:
Atrovent inhalation solution, single-dose containers, 20 packets. Atrovent is used to facilitate the patient’s breathing in medical conditions in which the respiratory tract narrows, such as an asthma attack, acute bronchitis, or chronic bronchial obstruction.
Atrovent is considered one of the medicines that is used as a bronchodilator, expectorant, and to treat shortness of breath. It contains an effective substance that greatly helps treatment, which is ipratropium.
How ipratropium works
- Ipratropium is an acetylcholine antagonist that works by inhibiting muscarinic cholinergic receptors.
- Blocking cholinergic receptors reduces airway smooth muscle contraction.
